Monday Week 13 Quickhits

What a wacky week 13 with some upsets and some real close games.

-Jets Bills started the week in a ho-hum game. The Jets should have blown the Bills out but they won. Darrell Revis is proving he maybe the best corner in the game. The lights in the Rogers Dome affected Braylon Edwards on a td catch and Terrell Owens on an almost pick. Final not on this game Mark Sanchez learn how to slide but I like the dive for the first down.

-Could we be seeing the end of the dynasty. Great win by the Dolphins. The Patriots are not the same team they once were. Many people felt the Pats d would struggle but not this much. You let a team like the Dolphins play it close and they will find a way to win. The Pats will win the AFC East but may have problems in the postseason with this defense. Then again with Brady and Belichek they are always in it.

-The Bucs should have gotten another win today but Josh Freeman turned it over 5 times and Connor Barth missed two field goals. Both teams are playing real bad and I believe Raheem Morris will be ok but the whispers of Bill Cowher to the Panthers are getting louder.

-The Bears beat the Rams in another ho-hum game. Both teams are going nowhere and need help in all aspects of their game.

-The Eagles rolled over the an injured Falcons team. The Eagles help their playoff chances and the Falcons are holding on though slipping quickly.

-The Bengals took care of business today by beating the Lions. The Lions had a last second score to make it look closer but with the Steelers loss the Bengals are looking good in the AFC North.

-Jacksonville solidified a spot in the playoffs as of now with the win over the Texans. The Jags have been coming on as of late and I look for them to play well down the stretch. The early injury to Schaub hurt the Texans today. Tony Kubiak will be looking over his shoulder the final few weeks of the season the Turk may come a knocking.

-In the shocker of the weekend the Raiders upset the Steelers. Bruce Gradkowski returned home and beat his childhood team. He had a great game and the Raiders played fantastic. The Steelers are reeling coming off of four straight losses with two against the Chiefs and Raiders. Right now the Super Bowl champions may not get a chance to defend it in the playoffs.

-In the game of the week the Saints pulled one off against the Redskins to stay undefeated. The Skins have played well recently but can't seem to close out these games. The Saints played with fire again and got away with a victory. Eventually both of these teams will end up on the opposite end of these close games.

-The Broncos rolled the Chiefs today. The last two weeks the Broncos have played great and have a strong hold on a wildcard birth as well as a chance at the division. The Chiefs continue their up and down season. One week the team looks great and the next week they seem not to show up.

-The Colts continued to roll and the Titans train was derailed. The game seemed closer with a late td by the Titans.

-The Chargers destroyed the Browns but it doesn't appear that way because the Browns got two late scores to make it look much closer. Good effort by the Browns though.

-The Giants got a huge win over the Cowboys. They are now a game out of the wildcard and the division title. The Giants seem to be on the right track after this game. I see the Cowboys schedule and see them falling out of the playoffs and Wade Phillips on the unemployment line.

-The Seahawks continue to win at home with a last second field goal against the 49ers. Mike Singletary keeps saying he wants to build a winning tradition in San Fran and to do that they have to beat the Seahawks.

-The Cardinals ended the Vikings run and gave them their first loss in the NFC. Unless something happens the loss by the Vikings should give the Saints home field advantage in the playoffs. Kurt Warner coming off if his concussion played great and the Cardinals looked great in all three aspects of the game. If I am the Saints or the Vikings I would not look forward to playing the Cardinals in the playoffs.

Tonight's game is a big game for playoff purposes. If you root for a team in the AFC then you are rooting for the Packers and if you root for a team in the NFC then you are rooting for the Ravens. Either way it should be a great games.
