Coaches on the hot seat

1. Jim Zorn- We all know Zorn is out at the end of the year. The Redskins have been playing better. This will be a good team to come to. The offense has pieces and the defense plays well. Snyder and Cerrato are tough to coach for but look for one of the Super Bowl coaches to get this job. I see Shanahan the one the Skins want but Cowher will be pursued too.

2. Eric Mangini- The Browns are in shambles and Mangini has not helped. I expect Randy Lerner to look for a Parcells type if not Parcells himself. I see Ron Wolf or Rich McKay as the Parcells type to take this job and to see Mangini out. This team needs an established coach but I do not see one coming from the Super Bowl winners. I see Jim Fassel or someone like that possibly getting this job.

3. John Fox-The writing is on the wall. Fox has had a great tenure in Carolina but it is time for these two teams to part ways. This is Bill Cowher's job. His family lives there and he has many other connections in Carolina. If Cowher does not get this job I would be very surprised.

4. Perry Fewell-He is the interim coach as it is. The Bills have played better with him as the head man. The Bills want one of the Super Bowl coaches and have spoken to Mike Shanahan. Not sure if he would like it but maybe Brian Billick if not I see maybe Leslie Frazier.

5. Lovie Smith-This is where I see Mike Shanahan deciding between here and Washington. Lovie has done a great job in Chicago but a change is needed.

6. Jim Mora-Only one year in and Ruskell resigned and the Seahawks are underachieving. I see Mike Holgrem coming back as the GM and either giving Mora one more year or looking for a new coach.

7. Gary Kubiak- This was supposed to be the Texans year and they have disappointed . Kubiak seems to keep getting the Texans just outside of the playoffs. Maybe Greg Williams here.

8. Wade Phillips-I see the Cowboys folding down the stretch and Jerry Jones looking for a new coach. I think he would love Shanahan and this maybe it for Shanahan. He seems to have 3 choices it's a question on where he will feel the most comfortable. Jerry Jones hopes it's in Dallas.

9. Jack Del Rio- With this playoff run he might save his job but something to keep an eye on.
