1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma: This pick has changed since my first mock draft but has stayed the same for awhile now. Unless the Rams get a king ransom for this pick Bradford is the choice. Do not be surprised to hear that the Rams are negotiating with him this week. The rumor that the Steelers and Rams may work out a deal for this pick of Ben Roethlisberger are not true. Roethlisberger may get traded but not for the number 1 overall pick.
2. Detroit Lions: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska: This pick will come down to who do the Lions feel will fit into Jim Schwatz's defense better. Some in the organization feel it will be Gerald McCoy while others feel it is Suh. Either way I do not think the Lions will go wrong and will get themselves a nose tackle they can build around. Suh is the better all around player in my opinion and should be the pick. I would not be surprised if McCoy went but it should be Suh.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gerarld McCoy, DT, Oklahoma: In the beginning it looked like Eric Berry would be the pick here with the DTs going one and two. The Bucs are thrilled to get Suh or McCoy and look forward to having their presence on a defense that needs one.
4. Washington Redskins: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State: With the trade for McNabb the Skins will look to protect him and Okung is the best tackle to do that. There are rumors that Trent Williams may be the pick here because he may be a better fit in the zone blocking scheme that Mike Shanahan runs. I still think Okung is the better pick here but would not be surprised to see Williams go here.
5. Kansas City Chiefs: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma: The Chiefs would like Okung here but since he is not available they go for the next best tackle in Williams. Williams will add toughness and great blocking to the Chiefs. He will help protect Matt Cassel and improve the offensive line. Eric Berry is an option here but Scott Pioli knows he needs to build his lines. Brian Bulaga is an option as well but maybe too early for him.
6. Seattle Seahawks: Brian Bulaga, OT, Iowa: With the recent trade of Charlie Whitehurst, Jimmy Clausen is not an option here. The Hawks would also consider Eric Berry here but with no NFL caliber tackles on the roster the Hawks go a little early on Bulaga, but it is an area of need for them so they go for the best available. Trading down is an option to get more picks.
7. Cleveland Browns: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee: Berry is the best safety in the draft and the Browns need help in the secondary. Joe Haden is an option here but I think the Browns and Mike Holgrem go for a playmaking safety he feels that can be a game changer like Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu.
8. Oakland Raiders: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida: Pierre-Paul would add to the Raiders defensive line and is the best pass rusher in this draft. This would be the best pick for the Raiders and he has the potential to be a difference maker. That being being said Al Davis loves combine stars and Taylor Mays fits that bill this year. For awhile I have had Pierre-Paul going to the Raiders here but something tells me Al Davis will not take him and shake up this draft.
9. Buffalo Bills: Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland: This is where the draft will be set. For the longest time I really thought the Bills were going to take Jimmy Claussen with this pick. I think the Bills think they can get Colt McCoy or Tim Tebow where they are at in the second round be happy with either one of them. I have them picking an offensive lineman here because that is their biggest need but would not be surprised to see them trade out of this pick and the team that trades with them taking Dez Bryant or Claussen.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Joe Haden, CB, Florida: Derrick Morgan is an option here as well but with the signing of Aaron Kampman it will allow the Jags to get the best corner in the draft. As important it is to get to the qb (Peyton Manning) by having a good corner it will allow the defensive line an extra second to get the qb. Rumors have the Jaguars looking at CJ Spiller and adding him as a compliment to Maurice Jones-Drew. I do not see that happening. If the pick is not Haden or Morgan and the Jags go offense it would not surprise if they went with Dez Bryant who will team nicely with Mike Sims-Walker.
11. Dever Broncos: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St: With the trade of Brandon Marshall Bryant will be the pick. The only way that does not happen is if someone jumps in front of them to get Bryant. If that happens the Broncos will look to trade down to get another receiver later in the first round.
12. Miami Dolphins: Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee: The Dolphins need help at linebacker but it will be difficult for them to pass on the third best defensive tackle in the draft. Williams will be a perfect 3-4 tackle for the Dolphins.
13. San Francisco 49ers: Rolando McClain, LB Alabama: The 9ers will be sitting to wait on McClain and hope he falls to them. He would be a perfect fit for Mike Singletary who will be thrilled to have him. Though the 9ers need help along the offensive line they will look at that with their second pick.
14. Seattle Seahawks: CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson: The Hawks need offensive firepower and after taking a tackle with the first pick they choose a back he can block for. Spiller will be a nice change of pace running back in the NFL that will also help in the return game. If Dez Bryant falls here he will be the selection but I do not see Bryant dropping to the 14th slot.
15. New York Giants: Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri: The Giants are in need of a linebacker and Weatherspoon fits Perry Fewell's defense perfectly. Weatherspoon has the potential to be a great sideline to sideline player who will start right away for the Giants.
16. Tennessee Titans: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech: The Titans will be thrilled to have the best pass rusher available for them at 16. With the loss of Kyle Vanden Bosch they really need someone who can get to the qb and Morgan is the perfect fit.
17. San Francisco 49ers: Mike Iupati: After going linebacker with their first pick they will address the offensive line with Iupati. Earl Thomas could be the selection but the 9ers need to address the offensive line with one of their first round picks. Jimmy Claussen could be the pick here but I think the 9ers see what Alex Smith can do with one more year.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida: The Steelers need offensive linemen. They would love Iupati to fall to them but are left to choose from Pouncey and Anthony Davis. I think they feel that Pouncey will be the better lineman so they go for him.
19. Atlanta Falcons: Ben Graham, DE, Michigan: Graham has shot up draft boards recently after his combine performance and after teams looked at game tapes. Graham is a quick rusher off the end that will help a Falcons defense in need of a rusher. Some are concerned about Graham's height but I think he will find a way to use it to his advantage and be an impact player.
20. Houston Texans: Earl Thomas, S, Texas: The Texans would be thrilled to see Thomas here. The 9ers may pick him but go offensive line. Thomas will fit in perfectly with the Texans and will be a great addition for them.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma: The Bengals have so many people to choose from. One thing the Carson Palmer has never had has been a tight end. With the addition of Gresham it would give the Bengals another offensive weapon.
22. New England Patriots: Jared Odrick, DE/DT, Penn St: The Patriots would like Gresham but with him off the board they go for a versatile defensive lineman who can help them everywhere on the line.
23. Green Bay Packers: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers: Much like the Steelers the Packers have a very good team but a weak offensive line. Though Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher were resigned the Packers need as much help on the line. Davis will come in right away and push Clifton and Tauscher for a starting job. Davis has all of the tools it is a question of if he motivates himself to play. This is the reason he is not a top ten pick.
24. Philadelphia Eagles: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise St: Offensive line could be a choice here but with the trade of Sheldon Brown the Eagles will look for help in the secondary. Wilson is the best corner available so the Eagles go for him. Taylor Mays is an option here as well.
25. Baltimore Ravens: Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech: The Ravens would love Odrick or Wilson to fall to them but neither one are available. Instead they go for the next best receiver to add to an improved unit. Kareem Jackson will be an option here too. I also would not be surprised to see a team like Minnesota, Jacksonville, Buffalo or someone else who maybe interested in Jimmy Claussen to jump up and take him with this pick.
26. Arizona Cardinals: Charles Brown, OT, USC: Brown will immediatly help the Cardinals who will be thrilled to get him here. He will be a nice addition to the Cardinals line.
27. Dallas Cowboys: Taylor Mays, S, USC: The Cowboys go for Mays who will help a weak secondary. They would love an offensive lineman here but will wait until the second round. Mays is a hard hitting safety who will help out against the run. Mays reminds many of old Cowboys safety Roy Williams. A hard hitter who helps in the run game but is not the best cover guy. Mays is out to prove people wrong.
28. San Diego Chargers: Ryan Matthews, RB, Fresno State: The Chargers let LT go and Darren Sproles is the only other running back on the team now so the Chargers need one. Matthews fits the type of rb that Norv Turner and the Chargers like. He is a good blocker who can also catch the ball. Matthews would be a perfect fit for this team.
29. New York Jets, Everson Griffin, DE, USC: Rex Ryan will jump for joy if Griffin falls to him. The Jets are in need of defensive ends. Griffin could be used in many different places in the Jets system which should free him up to get after the qb exactly what the Jets need. With the trade for Santonio Holmes the Jets do not need a wr and will look to improve areas of the defense and add depth in this draft.
30. Minnesota Vikings: Jimmy Claussen, QB, Notre Dame: I think the Vikings will trade up for Claussen. Since I did not include trades in this mock I'll put Claussen here. I believe someone will jump up between 20-25 to get Claussen.
31. Indianapolis Colts: Rodger Saffold, OT, Indiana: The Colts need help along the offensive line and Saffold is the best available. The Colts want to run the ball a little more and Saffold is a balanced lineman who is a good run and pass blocker.
32. New Orleans Saints: Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers: The Saints have alot of depth and no real weak areas. One area of depth they do need is in the secondary and McCourty has the potential to be a number one corner.
